The Humane Society of San Bernardino Valley's mission is to prevent cruelty and neglect to animals; to educate children and all members of the community about animal welfare issues; and to provide for the health and well-being of animals with an emphasis on spay/neuter to prevent pet over-population. Program areas at Humane Society of San Bernardino Valley

The Humane Society of San Bernardino's clinic provides low cost (no cost to those unable to pay) spay & neutering service. We also provide a full range of vaccinations for dogs and cats as well as other services to keep animals healthy. During the fiscal year 6,700 surgeries were performed. 34,516 Vaccinations were given, 5,640 treatments were preformed and 3,143 euthanasia were performed. Total number of animals served: 49,787.
The Society's professionally trained, credentialed Humane Education Teacher provides classroom presentations to all grade levels at local elementary schools. The goals of the program are to teach compassion and respect for all living creatures, to teach proper care of domestic animals, and to protect wildlife and the environment. The Humane Society visited 295 classrooms in person.
The Humane Society of San Bernardino Investigates reports of cruelty to animals and rescues animals in distress. Complaints investigated during the fiscal year totaled over 1,123.
