Program areas at Humane Society of San Bernardino Valley
The Humane Society of San Bernardino's clinic provides low cost (no cost to those unable to pay) spay & neutering service. We also provide a full range of vaccinations for dogs and cats as well as other services to keep animals healthy. During the fiscal year 6,703 surgeries were performed. 34,216 Vaccinations were given, 5,403 treatments were preformed and 2,742 euthanasia were performed. Total number of animals served: 49,983.
The Society's professionally trained, credentialed Humane Education Teacher provides classroom presentations to all grade levels at local elementary schools. The goals of the program are to teach compassion and respect for all living creatures, to teach proper care of domestic animals, and to protect wildlife and the environment. The Humane Society visited 255 classrooms and had direct contact with 6,375 children and 15 adults.
The Humane Society of San Bernardino Investigates reports of cruelty to animals and rescues animals in distress. Complaints investigated during the fiscal year totaled over 801.
