Adoption services: dog and cat adoption services to approved adopters. Adoption fees help provide medical care, food, and shelter to the animals in our care. When you adopt an animal from us, you are receiving more than 580 of services included in the pet's adoption fee. Our most popular pets (platinum adoptions) have higher adoption fees in order to support animals in our care that need specialized medical care or training in order to find a loving home. For over 46 years, we have adopted more than 26,732 animals into permanent, loving homes. In 2022, we completed a total of 634 adoptions (244 cats and 390 dogs).
Our community pet food pantry helps support local families in need by providing free pet food for their loving pets. It is one of our goals to ensure that no animals are surrendered to local shelters because their guardians cannot afford to feed them. In 2022, we provided food to, on average, 86 families or 252 animals.
Medical services: we offer medical services including wellness exams, vaccinations, testing, spay/neuter services, heartworm treatments and dentals. We also offer exams and treatment services for minor illnesses including upper respiratory infections, skin issues, ear infections and urinary tract infections, etc. In 2022, we assisted 3,883 clients through the low cost clinic.
