Program areas at HDC

Older americans. These programs provide seniors with various assistance for basic needs, home delivered meals, adult day services, respite care and personal care, and other services to keep seniors in their homes.
Weatherization. Provides energy optimization for low income housing by installing insulation, new windows and possibly new appliances.
Community services. This allows us to help all other low income people and families in a variety of ways including homebuyer assistance, volunteer programs, emergency shelter, transportation, energy efficiency training. These funds are used to help fill funding/need gaps in other agency services.
These were for various programs, including the following: child education. Provides early headstart services to eligible children. Housing and rehabilitation. Housing assistance provided to income eligible participants in the form of loans and grants for home repair. Commodity food distribution. Caro transit system provided transportation. Assault crisis center. Internal charges within the organization.
