Program areas at Alliance for Decision Education
In 2023, the Alliance conducted a number of intiatives with schools and districts across the country. for example, the Decision Education teacher fellowship is a community of middle and high school educators dedicated to exploring Decision Education, promoting its integration in schools and helping assess its impact on students. Teacher fellows contribute to Decision Education's growth through ongoing learning,collaboration and by advocating for teacher applied decision-making skills.see schedule o for continuation on description of program service accomplishments
The Alliance for Decision Education drives a number of research initiatives. The research agenda for Decision Education was created as ia initial framework to help shape and develop future research efforts. It serves as a guide for scholars to generate research ideas, projects and findings that will inform practice in the field.the Decision Education research collaborative brings together an interdisciplinary group of researchers who share interest in Decision Education. Together, they discuss research finidings, exchange knowledge and resources and generate new insights into decision-making in k-12 populations.in 2023, the Alliance supported graduate students exploring decision-making in k-12 populations through the Decision Education research scholarship award.
The Alliance builds broad awareness of Decision Education and the value of decision-making skills outside of and in addition to our key stakeholder audiences. Through marketing, public relations, social media and the Decision Education podcast, we highlight the importance of decision-making and the need for it to be taught in k-12.
