Program areas at HFI
Since 1986, Housing Families Inc. has provided comprehensive Housing and wraparound services to 9,000+ homeless, formerly homeless and Housing insecure Families. In fiscal year 2022 Housing Families served 3,295 individuals across all programs, which include emergency shelter and permanent supportive Housing for Families and individuals. Housing Families currently operates 140 shelter units and 86 units of permanent supportive Housing. In total, nearly 1,000 people are Housing in our shelter and permanent Housing each year and each household receives comprehensive case management. Our academic and therapeutic after school program provides tutoring, enrichment, and counseling to youth. The homelessness prevention & legal services program served over 1,000 households and prevented over 500 evictions. Housing Families' new programs include an enhanced clinical mental health department, a food pantry program, and a warming center.
