Residential supports and services supported 80 individuals in Community residential homes (foster care and supported living services in a slf). These adults with developmental disabilites needed support in a 24-hour setting. They learned skills while receiving supervision by trained staff throughout the day, evening, and overnight. Services were tailored to fully integrate into their neighborhood and Community, in order to assist people, learn and grow in their independence.
Hud subsidized apartments provided individuals with hud-funded rent subsidies. This allowed for low income individuals who are developmentally disabled to live in their communities in an apartment setting.
In-home support services and basic support services cared for 58 individuals in their own apartment or in their family Home. The in-home support services (in-home family support, independent living skills training, semi-independent living skills, integrated Community support) programs suported individuals that received services and counseling with daily living skills such as: money management, Home maintenance, health and nutrition, food preparation, and transportation. Basic support services (24-hour emergency assistance, homemaker, personal support, and respite care) provided care in the basic support service model. These services provided essential tools needed to maintain the safety of the individual. Services like respite care gave the primary caregivers relief from the care demands of their loved one with a developmental disability. Staff provided respite care in the person's Home or at one of hco's two family resource homes.
