Southern Tier Housing Corporation's (sthc) mission is to provide households with high-quality, energy efficient, Housing opportunities. Sthc works with households to qualify for financing, select land on whics to build a home, and select a house plan. Sthc builds the homes, sometimes as the general contractor for a turn ky job and sometimes through a mutual self help method which brings together households (ofter 6-10 households) to cooperatively build their homes. Sthc also provides project management expertise to other organizations who are in need of expertise and capacity to carry out Housing initiatives in their communities.
