Program areas at Hickory Band Parents Association
Provide music, instruction, drill, training and transportation for Band students to local and national marching Band competitions, state Band tryouts, and district Band tryouts. Transportation related expenses included for Band directors and chaperones, and musical equipment. Program includes Band banquet, student awards, historian expenses, and Band director education.
To provide functioning musical instruments to the marching, concert, and symphonic bands. Includes new and repaired equipment. Uniforms updated on an as needed basis.
Provide instruction, training, music, equipment, and travel for indoor guard and winter percussion teams. Students compete in local and national competitions. Travel expenses include extended overnight stays for student participants, directors, chaperones, and equipment hauling.
