Program areas at Helping Hand Home for Children
Helping Hand Home provides a place to heal for abused, neglected and abandoned Children. The residential treatment center provides a therapeutic environment including trauma informed practices and evidence based therapies to support Children and prepare them for a transition to a permanent family Home.
The ut charter school is located on the campus of Helping Hand Home and enhances the treatment plans of the Children by providing education in a trauma informed environment with small class size. Teachers and rtc staff work together to maximize learning and social development for Children with high level needs. The Children are supported to develop the skills they need to succeed in the public school system.
Helping Hand Home places Children, from birth to eighteen years old, into basic foster care Home or therapeutic foster care homes, depending on the level of care needed.
