Program areas at HOTW
Housing subsidy program - assist adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities who wish to live independently in the community as possible by helping with monthly housing costs. the iss subsidy may also cover other housing costs such as utilities, water and sewer and/or renter's insurance.
Community habilitation - provide one-to-one or group services to idd in the individual's home or community setting to develop the skills needed to live more independently. Services may include supports such as personal care, community inclusion, money management and more. During fiscal 2023, Help on the Way, Inc., provided 17,179 units of community habilitation service.
Day habilitation service - provide habilitation services to idd with the goal of providing the training and support necessary to Help each individual achieve their maximum level of autonomy and empowerment in a community base experience. During fiscal 2023, Help on the Way, Inc., provided 17,803 units of day habilitation service.
Respite services- provide temporary relief from the demands of caregiving, which helps reduce overall family stress. This often enables families to better meet the needs of their loved one with a developmental disability. Help on the Way, Inc. Provided 33,169 units of respite service in fiscal 2023.
