Program areas at Help-New Mexico
Office of economic empowerment (oee):the workforce development division's contracts provide work experience, job training, job placement, education, supportive and emergency services and general support in the purchase of personal assets to unemployed and underemployed individuals, youth, seniors, migrant and seasonal farmworkers and homeless individuals and families throughout the state of new Mexico. The goal of the work readiness programs and wrap around supportive services assist in helping low income new mexicans achieve a higher level of family sustaining wages and learning self sufficiency pathways to aid in the development of a trained and skilled workforce within our state. These efforts directly correlate to the mission of Help-New Mexico and the goal of increasing impact within our communities by 10% annually.
Office of learning and academic:this program provides comprehensive education, health, mental health, disability, nutrition and family support services to head start children ages 3 to 5 years of age. Help new Mexico, Inc. Currently offers regional head start services in animas, alamogordo, chaparral, columbus, deming, la luz, lordsburg, truth or consequences, and tularosa, new Mexico. Help-New Mexico also offers an early head start program and provides prenatal services to expectant mothers and services to children from new born to 3 years of age. Our goal is to increase impact within our communities through these services by 10% annually.
