Monitor and advise members on federal and state legislation and agencies regarding the legal and regulatory environment of hearing aids. Maintain data on hearing aid devices for members. Provide education and awareness of the importance of hearing health to consumers and coordinate these activities with professional and consumer organizations through the Hear Well Stay Vital campaign activities.
Lobbying activity to increase awareness and education of hearing health and follow-up to the passage of the OTC Hearing Aid Act passed in 2017 and proposed legislation for Medicare coverage for hearing health.
research and publication of MarkeTrak 10, a longitudinal study of the consumer journey that provides unique data on hearing difficulty, hearing aid usage, and adoption rates.
