Health and Medicine Policy Research Group's mission is to conduct independent research, educate, collaborate with other groups, advocate policies, and impact health systems to improve the health status of all people while promoting social justice to challenge inequities. They lead the Illinois Adverse Childhood Experiences Response Collaborative and cultivate aspiring Health and human services professionals through the Chicago Area Schweitzer Fellows Program which provides 30 exceptional students each year. Program areas at Health and Medicine Policy Research Group

Health & Medicine's chicago area schweitzer fellows program cultivates aspiring Health and human services professionals to be informed, concerned, and involved with addressing Health inequities. Each year, the schweitzer program provides 28 exceptional students with opportunities to design and implement projects to improve the Health and well-being of underserved chicago communities.
Adverse childhood experiences (aces) -Health & Medicine is the lead convener of the Illinois adverse childhood experiences response collaborative, a Group of multi-sectoral stakeholders committed to expanding the understanding of trauma and its impact on people's lives. Through advocacy and mobilization efforts, we work to put the issues of aces and resilience on the forefront of the equity agenda in Illinois.
Center for public Health equity advances Health justice through progressive public Health Policy reform, best practices Research, leading convening of public Health partners, and collaborative practice.
Area Health education center - workforce development program designed to recruit, train, and retain Health profession workforce committed to underserved populations with a special focus on promoting Health career to minorities and underserved populations and work within penal system and with prisoner support.
