Hawaii Nature Center fosters awareness, appreciation, and understanding of Hawaii and its natural environment through environmental education programs. These programs are offered to elementary and middle school children for ten months, intersession programs during all four seasons, and weekend programs and activities to families and the public at Makiki all year. The center's mission is to encourage wise stewardship of the island's precious ecosystems for future generations.
