Housing & energy services - the housing program provides funds to sponsoring organiations to establish grants or low-interest loan program for emergency home repairs to homeowners, or to rehabilitate individual housing, rental properties, or co-ops owned and/or occupied by low income rural persons.also includes the emergency rental assistance program (erap)- which provides rental and utility assistance to qualified applicants who can demonstrate that they are in arrears.
Transportaion services - the program promoted an independent, healthy, and enriched lifestyle for low-income individuals, seniors, dispabled individuals, and pre-school children. The daily bus schedule provided point-to-ponit service from off highway communities to shoppiing areas, banks, post offices, nutrition centers, rehabitalitaion centers, and head start centers. More than 70,000 trips were provided for County programs, and more than 120,000 miles of medically-related tansportation was provided during the fiscal year.
Food service program - the program provide daily meals to children through the summer food sericese program, and seniors thorught the senior farmer's market nutrition program. All meals meet usda guidelines for the child & adult care food programs. The program also served as training sites for indiviudals interested in the field of good service. More than 96,000 meals were prepared during the fiscal year.also includes rainbow falls connection - a bakery operation and job training program for low income and/or seniors.
