Disney Institute and Disney Leadership Retreat: Partnered with Disney Institute to organize 2 professional development institutes "Disney's Approach to Leadership Excellence," held on June 8 and June 9 2023 attended by 263 Hawaii educational professionals including public and private school teachers and administrators along with district level staff. HASCD also facilitated a leadership retreat on June 20-21 2003 for 35 district-level leaders focused on organizational and leadership values vision and communication as they relate to educational services.
Provided professional development for the HASCD "Back to School conference on July 26 2022 for 336 Hawaii educators including public and private school teachers and administrators along with district level staff. Conference topics addressed hands-on teaching and learning strategies effective grading practices and social emotional learning instruction to advance excellence in education.
HASCD partnered with Hawaii DOE to provide a series of professional development training for education support staff on 4 8 4 10 4 14 4 20 & 4 21 2023 attended by 183 administrative support staff office clerks and secretaries. Topics focused on effective customer service skills and professional values to be successful support personnel in their offices.
