Program areas at Haser
In September 2022 Puerto Rico was hit by Hurricane Fiona and therefore our largest program was our Collaboration Program, where we directly supported our communities through direct relief assistance of energy, water, food and health. We were part of the Fiona Fund and were in charge of all logistics of purchasing and delivering of immediate needs. Furthermore, we gave grants to our alliances for specific support to their communities
In 2022, the second largest Program was our Network of Actions program. HASER continued to focus on education and social actions that transform communities that have been historically marginalized by creating more equitable opportunities for all. Focused on food deserts, access to basic human energy needs and direct community services in rural towns. Furthermore, we developed projects that focused on experiential learning experiences for youth and adults from rural mountain towns in themes such as agroecology, sustainability, renewable energy, music and outdoor experiences.
