Program areas at Harvestworks

Founded in 1977 by artists, Harvestworks is a non-profit organization whose mission is to support contemporary young artists in the creation of art works achieved through the use of new and evolving technologies. Our T.E.A.M. (Technology, Engineering, Art and Music) lab is a facility that offers outstanding technical expertise, a high level of engagement with the artist coupled with well- equipped production studios to support the artist in the creation of new work. Our Education Program offers independent study and certificates in interactive media and immersive sound and video. The Artist-in-Residence program annually commissions artists to create a new work and the Art and Technology Program on Governors Island is our public presentation series of concerts, lectures, exhibitions and conferences.
