Program areas at Harmony Development Center
Youth in action (yia) provides year-round after-school and summer programming for at-risk youth that strengthen protective factors by helping youth develop resiliency, positive outlook, health, family dynamics, pro-social relationships with peers and adults, positive decision-making skills, strong community attachment, and academic and future career success. This program also reduces riskfactors related to teen pregnancy, delinquency, substance abuse, family dysfunction, mental and physical health problems, negative peer associations, and school failure.
