Program areas at HHF
Healthcare: Haitian Health Foundation's healthcare strategies ensure access to either free or affordable Health care that addresses primary, dental and mental Health care needs of vulnerable and underserved children, women and families of the greater jeremie region. There are five focused areas (1) primary care, (2) illness prevention, (3) Health promotion, (4) community capacity building and (5) service integration
Development: Haitian Health Foundation's development program strives to work collaboratively with women, families and others who traditionally have no voice to help build vibrant communities across the greater jeremie area. This is achieved through the promotion of cleaner and safer construction of housing, distribution of goats for the purpose of food security and micro enterprising, substainable agriculture strategies and micro lending.
Disaster relief: hhf plays a critical role in providing our communities with essential medical and nutritional care, including during all types of disasters, natural or man-made. Such disasters can lead to serious disruptions to the functioning of our communities as well as a rapid increase in demand for our services. We have built systems to allow us the continuity of essential services and a well-coordinated implementation of hhf operations at every level to quickly adapt to increased demands as well as the effective use of scarce resources.
Education: Haitian Health Foundation's education program strives to make education a top priority and seeks to expand access to education for the most vulnerable children and young adults in the greater jeremie region. The program works by directly paying a child's accredited primary school, secondary school, university, or trade school tuition and eligible fees.
