Habitat for Humanity of the Mid-Willamette Valley builds decent and affordable housing with people who are living in inadequate housing and who are unable to secure adequate housing by conventional means. Habitat selects homeowner-partners based on their need for adequate shelter, their ability to pay for the home, and their willingness to partner with Habitat. Habitat does not discriminate in the selection of homeowner-partners on the basis of race, creed, gender, disability, ethnic background or any other characteristic protected by law.
Habitat for Humanity of the Mid-Willamette Valley has initiated a repairs program, that allows individuals that need minor repairs to their existing dwelling but can not afford it to obtain assistance for those repairs. Hfhmwv, assists with accessibility issues, such as ramps and side rails, roof replacements, and minor siding replacement or repairs. Applicants still need to qualify based on hfhmwv program guidelines.
Habitat for Humanity of the Mid-Willamette Valley operates a reusable building materials and home furnishings store (restore). Sales proceeds from the restore support the mission to provide housing for low income families in the salem area.
