Rescue Campaigns - The Guardians want families to stay together. In times of hardship, either due to economic reasons, unemployment, changes in life, or catastrophic events, unfortunately, most often it is the pets that are the first to go, and often it is to kill shelters where, sadly, relinquished pets are among the first to be destroyed. The Helping Families, Saving Pets program is designed to keep families together during these most challenging of times, as this is when people need their pets as much as their pets need them. Guardians of Rescue assists families with food for their animals to help ensure that these families stay together and pets are not taken from their families and avoidably euthanized. This program works in a couple of ways by providing:-Pet food and supplies-Transportation of animals for vet care for disabled and home-bound owners.Through this program, we can drastically cut down on the number of cases where people are unable to afford to feed and care for their pet, and reduce the number of family pets entering already over-crowded shelters.
Different programs in place to help animals, families and other rescue organizations.
Disaster Response - When floods, hurricanes and other disasters strike, leaving helpless animals stranded and in danger, Guardians of Rescue is on the scene, assisting local and state agencies, and rescues, with the huge undertaking of saving animals from these uncontrollable disasters that impose great destruction, and leave innocent, terrified creatures stranded and their lives in peril. While emergency management agencies deal with everything from downed power lines to saving human lives, our members are on the ground supporting animal Search and Rescue efforts, tending to traumatized and helpless cats, dogs and other animals, by providing medical, supplies, transport, shelter and the safety they all are desperate for.Because we want pets to stay with their owners, Guardians of Rescue also provides food, builds enclosures, rebuilds kennels and other pens to help people who have lost everything, to keep their animals. It is in times of disaster that animals need our help the most. In many cases, they are left tied up, to fend for themselves or left locked in homes and other structures. This is when rescue is a race against clock, because time quickly runs out on these animals in these dangerous situations.Because disasters strike with little warning, we are always in need of funds for immediate deployment. Please consider donating or becoming a sponsor of this program, so that we can have the resources available to be on the ground, saving lives, without delay.
