Program areas at Greenwood Gun Club
The Club has two range locations: a shotgun range and a rifle/pistol/archery range. The Club provides a venue for social interaction between members. The Club has over 1,900 members with access to these facilities. Hunters and plinkers use the facility to sight-in and target practice. The hunter/plinker portion of the Club has been ongoing over 50 years. The shotgun range has a trap, skeet and 5-stand fields. Shooting fee covers the cost of shotgun targets and trap maintenance. The shotgun part of the Club has been ongoing for 45 years.
The youth program is primarily aimed at allowing local 4h clubs to use the facilities. Approximately 60 youth are involved in this program. In addition, boy scouts use the facility for merit badges; the high school's ffa program has a trap shotgun program that uses the facilities, a junior high power program practices at the facility for shooting competitions, and a youth tournament is hosted at the facility.
