Program areas at Green Schools National Network
The Green Schools National Network, Inc. Provides resources and tools to Schools and school districts to create Green, healthy, and sustainable Schools. We provide strategic planning, curriculum design, and leadership coaching directly to over 300 Schools serving 150,000 Schools. In addition we provide resources such as the Green Schools catalyst quarterly (gscq), the only peer reviewed, high interest digital magazine, highlights evidence-based practices for replication in Green, healthy, sustainable Schools; explores issues in-depth, including qualitative and quantitative research; and features columns that report on and explore emergent issues; and an electronic newsletter, greennotes (8 times per year), to promulgate news on timely topics and best practices occurring across the country or around the world as it relates to Green, healthy, sustainable Schools. Each issue features several articles from Schools, districts, and/or other organizations that share best practices and lessons learned for a chosen topic. Gsnn is also the co-convener, along with usgbc, of the annual Green Schools conference and expo, the only National event to bring together all the players involved in making Green Schools a reality. At the conference, people who lead, operate, build and teach in u.s. Schools gather to share, recognize and promote the Green Schools movement and best practices within education today, related to Green, healthy, sustainable Schools.
