Green Bay Neighborhood Leadership Council Green Bay Neighborhoods focuses on community building. Green Bay Neighborhoods awarded 2 rounds of Mini-Grants to 23 different neighborhoods for music series in parks and other community events, marketing tools, community safety tools, block parties, park improvements, community service projects, community gardens, and other neighborhood celebrations. These grants are provided as part of a program designed to teach grass-roots organizations how to fundraise and write grants.
In 2023, Green Bay Neighborhoods provided general training and guidance, resource sharing, and leadership training and development for 31 active neighborhoods.
In 2023, 18 neighborhood associations received operating grants or start-up funds to help sustain their operations. Like Green Bay Neighborhoods Mini-Grants program, these operating grants are part of a strategy to help neighborhood groups develop fundraising skills skills and grant writing. In addition, the operating grants help ensure continuing communication among association members via newsletter distribution and to apply governance fundamentals to their associations.
