Program areas at Greater New York Hospital Foundation
Reduce clinician burnout (wellness): this project aims to improve the well-being of clinicians providing services at five safety-net hospitals in New York city's most vulnerable communities. In december 2021, the Foundation was awarded a grant by the mother cabrini health Foundation to address an often-overlooked root cause of clinician burnout, the strained relationships between an organization's senior leaders and the frontline clinicians responsible for the delivery of patient care.
Emergency preparedness for nursing facilities (emergency preparedness): this project's goal is to conduct outreach to all nyc-based nursing facilities and support their emergency preparedness capabilities, including communications and situational awareness, healthcare coalition development, staffing needs, education, and training.
Building an infrastructure to sustain quality improvement initiative (qii): this initiative aims to strengthen quality improvement education and training for physicians, nurses and physician assistants and to support hospitals in improving patient access to ambulatory specialty care.
