Description
Greater Chicago Cage Bird Society rescues and adopts unwanted exotic birds, from finches to macaws, which are often ill and neglected, abandoned or seized by animal control. Its mission is to improve their health and wellbeing, enabling them to be adopted into new homes. In 2022, the society incurred a 50% increase in medical costs due to the intake of ill birds. It has also improved its adoption program with literature regarding birds and works with families to ensure adoption success by matching the right bird to the right family.
