Goodwill retail stores provide jobs and training opportunities in addition to generating funds for job training programs. From collection points at stores and Attended Donation Stations, goods need to be sorted, priced, and displayed. Work training opportunities abound in our training centers allowing ample opportunity for people with significant disabilities or disadvantages to move into the work force. Strict quality standards guide the selection of items not suitable for sale in the retail stores. Goodwill strives to recycle donated items not suitable for sale in the retail stores. Donations are the foundation of Goodwill's ability to provide services. Thoughtful giving supports strong retail sales which in turn helps people receive training and go to work.

Veterans' services and training are provided to those who have served. The Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP) strongly aligns with our mission to help people to reach their fullest potential with the support of education, career services, partnerships, and resource navigation. Housing is a necessary ingredient in being employed and self-sufficient: this economic relief is a critical piece to help struggling households maintain and also move toward long term improvement in employment and stability. Goodwills vocational and employment services, now coupled with rental relief, brings together a unique blend of immediate support and income for highly vulnerable households combined with relevant career resources and long term engagement that can move people out of poverty and onto a self-sufficient pathway.Digital Navigator program seeks to address funding inequities by building the infrastructure to support community based organizations to provide regionally coordinated digital navigator services which will result in increased access to affordable internet, devices, digital skills training, and digital navigator services. In addition, this funding seeks to address funding inequities based in institutional and systemic racism that create barriers for non-profit organizations that are nimble and responsive to the cultural and socio-economic needs of their communities.
