IN 2018, GOLF FORE AFRICA GFA, THROUGH AN IMPLEMENTATION PARTNERSHIP WITH WORLD VISION A GLOBAL NONPROFIT, PROVIDED INCREASED ACCESS TO SUSTAINABLE AND SAFE WATER TO 14,435 POOR AND VULNERABLE SCHOOL CHILDREN AND PEOPLE LIVING IN RURAL COMMUNITIES. GFA, THROUGH WORLD VISION, DRILLED BOREHOLES, REHABILITATED WATER POINTS, FORMED WATER COMMITTEES, AND TRAINED COMMUNITY MEMBERS IN PUMP MAINTENANCE AND REPAIRS. GFA INCREASED ACCESS TO IMPROVED SANITATION BY FUNDING CONSTRUCTION OF VIP LATRINES AND TRAINING COMMUNITY MEMBERS IN SANITATION PRACTICES. GFA FUNDED 12 MECHANIZED WATER SYSTEMS THAT WILL PROVIDE RUNNING WATER IN RURAL HEALTH CLINICS, SCHOOLS, AND TAPS WITHIN RURAL COMMUNITIES THROUGHOUT ZAMBIA. THESE SYSTEMS WILL IMPACT APPROXIMATELY 84,633 PEOPLE THROUGHOUT ZAMBIA. ZAMBIA IS RANKED 144th OUT OF 189 COUNTRIES ON THE HUMAN DEVELOPMENT INDEX.
