Gv mission trip programglobal Ventures mission trip program takes everyday people to countries around the world and involves them in missions work. During a Global Ventures trip, people experience hands-on ministry through children's outreaches, street evangelism, and evening festivals (crusades). Everyone takes part in sharing the gospel with people in various settings. Every trip also provides an opportunity to help a community with a service project such as giving families clean water filters. These trips are typically 10 days long. Gv usually takes 30 to 80 team members on each trip. (there is a prominent part of our ministry that is included in this program; mass crusades. There are trips John and a few of our leaders travel to that we wouldn't bring a team. John conducts mass crusades where typically tens of thousands receive christ. )in 2022, gv took a total of 231 people (some going on multiple trips) to zambia, honduras, albania, and thailand. - zambia, 62,330 salvations and 501 healings- honduras, 7,439 salvations and 253 healings- albania, 4,778 salvations and 113 healings- thailand, 23,231 salvations and 255 healings- we distributed:- 1,625 food packages- 554 water filters- 59,348 gospel books (follow up materials)total in-person salvations (including stateside ministry) for 2022 is, 97,911 people and we saw 1,135 people healed. Also, 170 pastors and leaders were trained in follow-up ministry.
Stateside ministry programstateside ministry program consists of John ministering in local churches, conferences and bibles schools here in the u.s. The reach podcast with John Smithwick is another avenue that John ministers to those living here in the u.s. John shares about relevant topics from the bible and invites special ministry guests to share and dialog with John as well. The Global Ventures reality tv show that was produced, airs on all the major christian networks for free. Global Ventures has 30 episodes that give people a view of what it's like to do missions and see the real encounters of sharing god's power with those in need. This is another way that gv inspires and motivates christians here in the u.s. to live their life with purpose. In 2022, John ministered in conferences and local churches in Oklahoma, Arkansas, Iowa, Indiana, Florida, Texas, Kansas, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee and California.
Internship programcore (internship program) is a 1 to 3-year program created to equip those who have a heart to reach the world. This program is designed to train people with a biblical foundation as well as the different aspects of how to do missions / ministry. There are a few classroom training classes but most of the training is done through hands on ministry work. The goal is to have each participant become the leader they are designed to be and be self-sustained to do missions or other ministry work. The core program is 12 months long and 3 full days a week. Starting in 2022, the internship is offered to school of missions graduates for them to continue to pursue full-time missions. September of 2022, we launched a one-year missions school. This school provides in-depth biblical studies as well as practical teaching designed to help them be successful in short and long-term missions. Students learn how to be an effective soul-winner, learn the behind the scenes work of missions and ministry, and take part in mass evangelism projects around the world. The school classes are tuesday through thursday from 8:30 to 12:30. In august of 2022, 3 interns completed the core 3-year program with Global Ventures and graduated. There was a total of 5 interns in training (some were 1st and 2nd year interns). All interns participate in gv mission trips with extra responsibilities and roles which is a vital part of their training.
