Program areas at Global Health Promise
The Gates Publication program is supporting the publication of 15 papers on data that was collected in 2019, and 2022-2023, on mothers who are in sex work and their children.
The Maternal Health program trains local partners to support the need of pregnant female sex workers, funds their prenatal care and delivery, provides food, and provides postpartum support (home visits, food, and infant formula if needed).
Global Health Promise addresses the situation of women in sex work and become pregnant or who are mothers and their children through research, services, and advocacy.Other program services: Food Assistance, Rhythm of Life and Our Mothers House.
The Food Insecurity Study consists of conducting a 3 country study (Kenya, Nigeria, the DRC) on food insecurity, maternal and mental health, and causes of death among mothers who are in sex work and their children.
