Girls on the Run ("gotr") Portland Metro offers a 10-week positive development program, which is held twice a year for Girls in 3rd - 8th grades. Our purpose is to educate and prepare Girls for a lifetime of self-respect and healthy living. the organization accomplishes this by teaching a research-based curriculum focused on building social, emotional, and physical skills in Girls while encouraging healthyhabits for life. the Girls complete the program with a joyful and non-competitive 5k event. This event gives Girls a tangible sense of accomplishment and a place to celebrate with their team, family, and friends. Gotr Portland Metro directly serves their communities by delivering gotr and heart & sole programming in benton, clackamas, clark, deschutes, jackson, linn, marion, multnomah, and Washington counties.
