Girls on the Run Birmingham educates and prepares 8- to 14-year-old girls for a lifetime of self-respect and healthy living through a fun, experience-based curriculum that creatively integrates running. The organization inspires girls to be joyful, healthy, and confident while maintaining and sustaining its programming even during a pandemic. Despite significant limitations due to COVID-19 restrictions at schools during the 2020-2021 academic year, Girls on the Run Birmingham led a fall and spring semester serving over 40 girls.
