Program areas at Georgia Organics
Georgia Organics invests in organic farmers and community allies in Georgia to cultivate a resilient local food movement. Our vision is that all Georgia farmers nurture and heal the land, people and communities. To achieve this, we work to increase farmer prosperity and racial equity, grow a resilient local food movement, and provide impact capital for investment in organic and regenerative farms and regional food systems. Programs include direct farmer services with initiatives like the Accelerator program and establishing purchasing and procurement benchmarks and road-maps for local and organic food procurement for communities, schools, early care centers, and restaurants to become farmer champions. Through our Community Collaborations program, we work to build a resilient local food movement to grow an influential network of advocates who champion organic and regenerative farms through partnerships and alliances convening farmers, advocates, partners and stakeholders along with strong communications channels and advocacy. To advance all of this we provide Impact Capital through the Farmer Fund, micro-grants, and collective impact strategies.
