Program areas at Georgia Bikes
Planning: Georgia Bikes worked with the Georgia department of transportation (gdot),local governments and other partners to identify actionable bicycle and pedestrian safety improvements. We advised on infrastructure connectivity opportunities, implementation strategies, causes of crashes in "hot spot" areas and proposed design interventions.
Education: Georgia Bikes held a successful bike-walk-live summit with over 100 registrants and sessions covering infrastructure, policy and safety as well as mobile workshops in communities all over Georgia. We aldo provided safe cycling education and training for children and adults across the state.
Law enforcement training: Georgia Bikes conducted four law enforcement training classes, reaching officers in six different departments and provoding certified continuing education credits.
