Program areas at Gator Wilderness Camp School

Many of the boys enrolled accomplish academic success for the first time. We offer title 1 reading tutoring through the charlotte co. School district and have been a member of the mckay scholarship and step up for students programs since 2010. While in the Camp program, boys have the opportunity to plan and build their own living structures through the use of hand tools. They also plan canoe and/or backpacking trips to geographical areas of specific group interest. Boys receive daily instruction on the value of structure in one's life and learn how to effectively evaluate and learn from real life situations. Each boy learns to build positive and healthy relationships with peers and adults along with problem solving skills in order to function appropriately and thrive.
