Program areas at Fwa of New York

Educational initiatives/next generation programs- see schedule othe Fwa is dedicated to building the next generation of women in leadership in finance by building a pipeline of talented young women interested in and ready for careers in finance. Our programs, increase access to education through college readiness, mentorship, leadership professional acumen and skills development and network building. The Fwa also provides significant financial support through scholarships, stipends and study abroad support. Key accomplishments and statistics for the fy24 fiscal year:fwa scholars program- high school of economics and finance: paired 10 mentees with 8 mentors providing personal guidance on college and career readiness- awarded 18 Fwa scholarships to students enrolled at 16 colleges/universities. Fwa mentorship and scholarship at baruch college- paired and supported 47 female students with Fwa mentors, scholarships and stipends.- 250 graduate students received advanced skills finance training and 20 graduate students received stipends. Fwa mentorship and scholarship at seton hall university, stillman school of business- supported 30 students with Fwa mentors, scholarshipswall street exchange Fwa's internship augmentation program for rising juniors interning in finance positions. The program engages participants in the Fwa mission and provides workshops in professionalism, leadership, and career management techniques.- 67 students from 60 colleges/universities interning at 38 companies nationwide.member programsthe Fwa provides its members with a wide array of professional education and career development programs. Through participating in these activities, professionals advance their leadership skills, industry knowledge and build their professional network. Fwa programs actively help to accelerate the success of all women in the financial sector.in the fy24 fiscal year the Fwa presented 62 events with a total registered attendance of 2,021 people. Content was developed through our vibrant member program committees:directorship and corporate governance, emerging leaders, entrepreneurs, fintech, Fwa long island, Fwa New jersey, global agenda, international business conference, impact investing, men's alliance, member2member, mentorship, signature eventsthe Fwa also works with corporate partners to identify, support and develop high potential employees through our proprietary pacesetters program. In the fy24 program the Fwa supported a diverse cohort of 18 women from 10 financial institutions.
