Future Leaders of Excellence Academy

Future Leaders of Excellence Academy (floe Academy) began the year of 2022 serving 21 families that had 25 children between them. We have had a few events and activities for our families since january 2022. The week of february 28-march 4, 2022 we had spirit week. The teachers and the children dressed up everyday for spirit week. Floe Academy received the highest status (3 stars) that a daycare can receive on april 1, 2022. On april 8, 2022 we had our family appreciation day at the center. The parents were allowed to come in and have a snack with their children. We had the snack catered by coneheads. It was chicken tenders inside of waffle cones with macaroni and cheese and fried cauliflower. On april 9, 2022 floe Academy had a yard sale and fish fry fundraiser. We put on an easter egg hunt for our children on april 14, 2022. On may 6, 2022 we had muffins with mom in honor of mother's day. On june 17, 2022 we had donuts with dad in honor of father's day. On july 1, 2022 we had a graduation for our children that were going to kindergarten. On august 13, 2022 we had a back to school bash at the center. We sold grilled food, fish and fries, cotton candy, popcorn, and snow cones at the center. We gave away backpacks with supplies, had bounce houses, a silent auction, and face painting there. On october 31, 2022 we had a trunk or treat for the children at the center. On november 16, 2022 we had a thanksgiving lunch for the children, families, and staff of the center. On december 17, 2022 we had a 5 year anniversary party for the center. We had the party at millersville community center. All former and current families and staff were invited. By the end of december 2022 we were serving 27 families that had 34 children between them. The aftermath of covid-19 continued to put some strain on our business in the year 2022. The amount of people applying for jobs continued to be low for the center. We are hoping to rebuild with momentum as 2023 continues.
