Program areas at Milwaukee Domes Alliance
Education, programs, and Domes projects - Milwaukee Domes Alliance manages an education center that is open to the public as well as youth and family programs; adult education; school field trips; cultural events, and other activities. Nearly 50,000 people annually participate in an education activity at the Domes, including more than 5,500 school field trip participants. Education programming is offered in english and spanish; and scholarships are available for most programs. In addition, the organization provides funds for a variety of projects that enhance the Domes and the visitor experience.
Gift shop - the Domes gift shop enhances the experience and offers a wide selection of educational materials, gifts, books, plants, and souvenir items that are related to its exhibitions and programs. The gift shop also provides support to the local economy through sourcing artistic and educational gift items created by Milwaukee area businesses and artists.
Volunteerism and membership - Milwaukee Domes Alliance volunteers are involved with all aspects of programming and operations of the mitchell park Domes: staffing the education center, serving as school field trip aides, coordinating and staffing special events, and providing gardening support. Milwaukee Domes Alliance has more than 5,000 volunteers and members who contribute 3,000+ hours of service annually.
