Program areas at Friends of St Nicholas
Purchased and installed a bronze St. Nicholas statue to place under the entry pergola of the garden. St. Nicholas is the namesake of the garden and the statue was designed to be similar to the one on the church. Depending on the season, there are 5-50+ visitors to the garden each day.
We hosted our annual Marian Novena at the end of August. This nine day prayer event brings in 20-30 people each day who gather to pray and enjoy some food and fellowship with other pilgrims. This prayerful event spreads awareness of the garden and always brings new people in which helps grow the number of people who visit each year.
We again retained our original architect to continue designing the 15th station. Phase two was completed. We are starting phase three which is currently in process to get us construction drawings to begin construction. This will complete one of the main features of the garden for which we have been planning for since its inception.
