As an integral component of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Utah's (bbbsu) success, Friends of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Utah (fbbbsu) continues to contribute to the success of bbbsu. The year 2022 was a solid year. Fbbbsu was able to collect about 3.9 million lbs in 2022, 600,000 lbs more than was collected in 2021. This is a an increase of 18%. Fbbbsu was responsible for providing 27% of bbbsu's revenue in 2022 versus 19% in the previous year. Total payments in 2022 were 700,000 versus 460,000 in 2021. It is budgeted that in 2023 fbbbsu will provide 850,000 in financial support to bbbsu.
