Program areas at Freedom House

Family violence intervention and prevention services - provided emergency shelter which included food, clothing, and other items to victims of family violence seeking safety from abusive situations. Victims receive safety planning, crisis intervention and case management while residing in the shelter. Freedom House also provides outreach services that include therapy, crisis intervention, a 24-hour hotline, assistance with law enforcement and other services to prevent and heal from family violence. The organization served 25 individuals in the shelter and 267 individuals through the outreach office. Services also include community education and volunteer training.
Youth program and support syptem that helps to empower youth through education, fun activities, and offers a safe peer-led community where teens can be themselves.
Sexual violence intervention and prevention services - provided crisis intervention and therapy to victims of sexual violence, both adults and children. These services included assistance to law enforcement and other legal entities, assistance in obtaining medical help, providing emergency clothing at hospitals, information and referral to needed resources and follow-up. A prevention program has been developed and implemented. Community education and volunteer training is provided. The organization served 129 individuals through the outreach office. Any victim, either past or present and their families are eligible for assistance.
