Program areas at Freedom House
Long term residential treatment for men is based in a halfway House in nj rather than a hospital, Freedom House, Inc. Provides a comprehensive drug-alcohol rehab program using reality therapy, behavior modification and positive peer pressure, as well as individual and group counseling and life skills training. The men can then move into the transitional living programs which are a peer-driven models where residents are located in home-like settings and live with a small group of other men as they prepare to integrate back into society. All room, board, and transportation to and from work, court appearances, and other necessary functions are provided.
Outpatient services: treatment for substance abuse and mental health disorders. Clients are screened and assessed, and upon admission they are assigned a primary counselor. Treatment plans are developed by the counselor and the client in session. Referrals may be made to other services to meet client needs in the areas of employment, education, medical and psychiatric services. Freedom House outpatient services is licensed by dmhas. Our diverse, multi-disciplinary and credentialed staff utilizes evidence based practices and embraces 12-step facilitation.
Transitional living programs for women are designed for women that have already been through a long-term residential drug and alcohol treatment facility, we teach them life skills and provide them with a case manager that will oversee their stay and work with the courts to reunite them with their children. This is a transitional program called "the family afterward".
