We are a Christ-centered ministry providing residential recovery programs to the homeless or chemically addicted, food to the hungry, clothing and furniture to the needy and connection within our community through relationships. At the Mission, every program and service is driven by the desire to introduce people to Jesus Christ. Our method to this end is to meet basic human needs and equip others to do the same. The Mission is privately funded, utilizing donations from our community to operate all of our programs and services.

Program areas at Frederick Rescue Mission

Food service - served 72,711 meals to the community and residents. There were 22,554 visits and 76,681 individuals served through the food distribution center. 11,886 bags of food were distributed to community partners.
Faith house - served 70 women and children in a program for women and children experiencing homelessness, including 6,458 nights of lodging. 27 women obtained jobs or became full-time students. 14 families obtained safe and affordable housing.
Changed life recovery - served 70 men in recovery from chemical addiction including 8,241 nights of lodging. There were 18 graduates of the program, of whom 16 obtained jobs or became full-time students. 5 residents enrolled in a ged program and 3 residents participated in college prep courses.
Community outreach - hosted summer enrichment camps for 40 students and gave out back to school supplies to 350 students in need of support. Hosted 2 weekly bible studies for 25 community members per week. Provided 180 showers to homeless and low-income individuals in the community. Rescued treasures - 32 residents participated in recycling 1,248,380 pounds of donated textiles. Distributed clothing vouchers to 4,288 individuals.
