Program areas at Foundation for Spirituality and the Arts
the Foundation for Spirituality and the Arts seeks to foster contemplation, imagination, and thoughtful engagement through our curated programing. By encouraging a mutual flow of creativity and faith from both artists and scholars, we hope to initiate fresh channels of spiritual enrichment from new depths of artistic expression. Nurturing innovative and experimental collaborations between a wide range of communities, we aspire to integrate estranged voices together in a spirit of harmony, openness, and inquisitiveness. Our programs are structured into four main arenas; residencies, gatherings, fellowships, and selected resources we call inspirations. At the heart of fsa's programming is our annual series of residencies - two fully-funded, live-work studio spaces located in the heart of charleston's historic district. We welcome visual artists, performers, composers, choreographers, and other makers; as well as curators, writers, and theologians working on projects related to Spirituality.
