Program areas at Foundation for Clovis Schools

The Foundation in joint efforts with the local community raised funds to support the students of promise scholarship program. The students of promise program recognizes high school juniors who are succeeding in school in spite of extreme obstacles. Some challenges these students face are homelessness, critical illness, loss of parents, foster care, and abuse. Upon graduation from high school, students are eligible to receive $2,000 scholarships for use in post-secondary education.
The doc b leadership academy is a leadership development program that will maintain the long-standing and unique philosophies that have supported the district's success over time. The academy will give the district a permanent venue in which emerging leaders are trained and mentored in the decision-making principles that have shaped the Clovis unified school district's student-centered focus and high standards of achievement. As a result, teachers, students and the community flourish.
The Foundation in joint efforts with the local community raised funds to provide grants to local elementary and high Schools in the Clovis unified school district. Many Schools in the Clovis unified school district would like to implement special programs as part of their curriculum to better service their students; however, the Schools do not have the funding to do so. These programs include career/college centers, reading programs, music labs, etc. The Foundation provides grants to local elementary and high Schools to fund these programs.
Various grants and support of Clovis unified school district activities, including health and wellness grants and grants for new teachers program.
