Program areas at Fort Wayne Ice Skating Club
Competition: battle of the blades was held in august 27-28 2022 with approximately 139 skaters competing.
Show: fantasy on Ice was presented on may 6, 2022. Approximately 50 skaters participated in the event, which was viewed by 308 attendees over the two-day period.
Winterfest was held on december 17, 2022 where 40 skaters particiapted and 165 spectators attended the event.
Training for competitions and shows is a primary way that the organization carries out its exempt purpose. Skills developed to compete in competitions and perform in shows help skaters advance their skills.
Memberships are passed-thru to u.s. Figure Skating, which is the national governing body for the sport of figure Skating in the united states. Membership in u.s. Figure Skating helps the organization carry out its exempt purpose by enabling skaters to train and qualify for the olympics.
Theatre on Ice and testing fees is a primary way that the organization carries out its exempt purpose. Testing measures stakers' skill levels and determines whether they are qualified to compete at the various levels for competitions.
Vendor fees and commissions is a primary way that the organization carries out its exempt purpose. Vendor booths at competitions and shows offer equipment skaters need to train, compete and perform in shows.
