Fort Loudon Historical Society collects, preserves, and restores historical data, relics, and artifacts of the Fort Loudon area. Their mission is to promote and educate the public about this purpose as it relates to the period and lifestyle of the local area. They educate the public through demonstrations of hearth cooking, weaving, and restoration work being done. Approximately 400 people show appreciation for volunteers (30) and donors by seeing what has been accomplished.

Program areas at Fort Loudon Historical Society

Educate the public about the history of the Fort life with demonstrations of hearth cooking, weaving and restoration work being done and history of the local area. To show appreciation for volunteers and donors for them to see what has been accomplished. Estimate of 400 attendees to site. The Fort loudoun site is still in the reconstructive phase so majority of volunteer time is spent working at the site. Volunteers always take time to educate any visitor who comes to the site.
