The mission of the county alliance for environmental stewardship (cares)program is to promote environmentally sound farming practices while educating the public on agriculture's role in protecting Florida's natual resources. The Florida Farm Bureau cares program recognizes progressive farmers and ranchers who have taken voluntary action to protect our environment by implementing best management practices that are verified by government agencies.
We promote the betterment of agriculture in the public schools system by providing teachers with mini grants. Teachers are encouraged to submit an application which is then reviewed and granted based on the merit of the agricultural program in the school. Contributions are made to the school and the teachers administer the grant in their classroom.
