Program areas at Florida Congress of Parents and Teachers
Membership support - local units and county councils access state office resources for guidance in organizing, leading and expanding local pta's and for assistance in compliance with rules and procedures. Volunteers meet in regional and purpose committees to advance the causes for education and children.
Scholarships and grants - members receive training about the common core standards, and how to advocate successfully at the state and school district level. Scholarships are awarded to deserving students so they may further their education.
Conventions and leadership conferences - members participate in seminars and other educational settings to learn about organizing, participating in, and directing local pta units and activities, as well as participating in the development and adoption of the Florida pta action platform.
